February 20th, 2011All last week we had limits of rock fish on both half days and all day trips. Some fish where over 50lbs and most of them averaged 20lbs. Good fishing in the rock fishing feild. The offshore side was also pretty good with blue fin tuna from 100lbs to 300lbs. Miles and miles of tuna swiming on top yesturday. One 264lbs tuna was even caught at the Oregon Inlet sea bouy. Thanks Capt. Aaron
Blue Fin Tuna Action on the Outer Banks
February 8th, 2011The last couple of days have been pretty good on the gaint bluefin tuna between hatterass and oregon inlet. they Have been between 200 and 300 lbs average. Most of the anglers are using gigs and some top water plugs. A real fight on light tackle.
On the inshore side the rock fishing still has some good days but you need to go all day to get to the fish. they have move back up to duck and corolla.
Thanks Captain Aaron
